Pharmacist | Fishers, Indiana

Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a dynamic, closed-door mail order environment as a Staff Pharmacist on the 2nd shift (12:30 pm – 9:00 pm), Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed. This 13-week temp-to-hire opportunity offers a chance to work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and optimal medication use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications in accordance with prescription orders.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Review and interpret physician orders, ensuring appropriateness of therapy.
• Monitor drug regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient medication records.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Manage medication storage, including monitoring expiration and product integrity.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with inventory control, including ordering and stocking supplies.
• Deliver excellent customer service and address inquiries or concerns.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with pharmacy practices.

Qualifications:

• PharmD degree required.
• Indiana Pharmacy License mandatory.
• California Pharmacy License preferred; candidates willing to reciprocate will receive assistance with costs.
• 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Strong communication skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.
