A pharmaceutical professional is needed for a 2nd shift position from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with possible Saturday shifts based on business needs. This role is situated in a closed-door mail order pharmacy environment and offers a temp-to-hire opportunity extending for 13 weeks or more.
In this role, you will ensure exceptional pharmaceutical care by accurately dispensing medications, providing detailed medication counseling, and reviewing physician orders for safe and effective therapy. You will monitor drug therapy for potential interactions and contraindications, collaborate with healthcare providers, and maintain precise patient records. Compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations is critical, as is participation in quality assurance and continuous improvement programs. Additional responsibilities include inventory management and delivering superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders in a high-volume mail order setting
- Educate patients on medication use, side effects, and interactions
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy
- Monitor drug therapies for safety and effectiveness
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize treatment outcomes
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
- Assist with inventory ordering, stocking, and management
- Participate in quality assurance and professional development activities
Qualifications:
- PharmD degree required
- 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Active Indiana Pharmacy License required
- California Pharmacy License preferred or willingness to reciprocate (assistance with costs provided)
- Up to 5% travel flexibility

- Monday to Friday, 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm
- Possible Saturday shifts based on demand
