Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a dynamic closed-door mail order setting with an opportunity to transition from temporary to direct hire. This role supports patient health by ensuring safe and effective medication use while upholding all regulatory standards.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Possible Saturdays based on workload needs

Location:
Fishers, IN

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders and protocols
  • Offer clear medication counseling to patients, covering usage, side effects, and potential interactions
  • Review physician orders to confirm therapy accuracy and appropriateness
  • Monitor drug regimens for contraindications, therapeutic duplications, and interactions
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes and promote adherence
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records including medication histories and interventions
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Manage medication storage and handle expiration and product integrity monitoring
  • Participate actively in quality assurance and continuous improvement programs
  • Assist with inventory management including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally
  • Stay abreast of advancements in pharmacy practice and engage in ongoing professional development

Qualifications:

  • PharmD degree required
  • Indiana Pharmacy License required
  • California Pharmacy License preferred or willingness to reciprocate (financial support provided)
  • 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness for occasional travel up to 5%
