A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to support a 200-bed community hospital in Southwest Virginia. This contract role offers a dynamic work environment where clinical skills and leadership will be essential to patient care and pharmacy operations.

Location:

• Fishersville, VA (Southwest Virginia)

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shifts only
• Combination of 8- and 10-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies and patient care
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems effectively

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Virginia pharmacist license is required
• Experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
• Strong ability to manage and supervise pharmacy technicians
• Proficient with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
• Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
