Travel Pharmacist in Florence, KY

A digital/mail order pharmacy is seeking experienced pharmacists to support a significant increase in prescription volume for a new client. This opportunity involves dispensing non-insurance medications, primarily generic drugs with some brand and specialty items, shipped nationwide to all 50 states and DC.

Located in Florence, KY, this travel pharmacist role offers flexible shifts with two options: three 12-hour shifts from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM or five 8-hour shifts from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, aligning with operational hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The assignment is expected to last approximately 3 to 6 months, starting as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing full-cycle pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and safety in medication dispensing
• Checking and verifying prescribed drugs
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Adapting quickly to high-volume dispensing demands and new processes
• Collaborating effectively with team members to manage increased workload

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Active Kentucky pharmacist license (pharmacists licensed in nearby states like Ohio should verify eligibility to practice in KY)
• Proven background in high-volume retail pharmacy environments preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
