Mail Order Pharmacist Evening Shift

A rapidly growing pharmacy has an opening for a Mail Order Pharmacist on a 13-week contract assignment supporting a significant increase in prescription fulfillment volume. This pharmacy specializes in non-insurance medications and ships prescriptions nationwide. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to workflow demands, and enjoy working collaboratively with a high-performing pharmacy team.

This opportunity is best suited for pharmacists with strong high-volume retail experience who are comfortable managing fulfillment operations, supervising technicians, and maintaining accuracy in a busy dispensing environment. 

Responsibilities

• Verify and review prescription orders for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform full-cycle pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment duties.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians throughout workflow processes.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in a high-volume mail order environment.
• Ensure proper medication handling, storage, and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy staff to meet daily production goals.
• Provide excellent service while maintaining patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license required.
• Ohio pharmacists with active Kentucky licensure are highly encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy operations and prescription verification.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced fulfillment setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience

• Previous high-volume retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Mail order or fulfillment pharmacy experience is a plus.
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians preferred.

Work Hours

• Monday – Friday
• Evening Shift
• 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
