A Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to support their pharmacy team with daily operations. This role involves providing expert medication management services in a small hospital setting with a patient census of approximately 10 per day. The position offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule, ideal for professionals seeking a consistent full-time commitment.

Job Type: Contract, 13 weeks minimum
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapies
• Monitor and document patient medication progress and any adverse reactions
• Assist in inventory management and medication procurement
• Provide consultation and education to medical staff regarding medication use

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Pharmacist license is required
• Previous hospital experience preferred, familiarity with LTAC settings a plus
• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with clinical teams
