Pharmacist in Forest, VA

This position is seeking a Pharmacist to support a small Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital with an average patient census of approximately 10 patients per day. The contract role begins ASAP and is expected to last at least 13 weeks. This opportunity offers a Monday through Friday day-shift schedule, providing work-life balance in a focused hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense and manage medications for LTAC patients
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
• Monitor medication therapies and patient responses
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Counsel patients and staff as needed on medication use and safety

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia (VA Pharmacist license required)
• Experience working in a hospital setting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to handle the needs of a small patient census effectively
