Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, and consulting with nurses and physicians to optimize patient care. Familiarity with chemotherapy protocols is beneficial, as is experience working with hospital pharmacy systems such as Cerner and Omnicell. The facility is in the process of transitioning to EPIC, so adaptability to evolving IT platforms is valued.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

  • Active California pharmacist license
  • Hospital pharmacy experience, preferably including chemotherapy
  • Ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians
  • Proficiency with Cerner and Omnicell systems; experience with EPIC an asset
  • Commitment to full-time availability during the 26-week contract
