A compelling opportunity is available for a Per Diem Pharmacist to support a specialized pharmacy serving the HIV/AIDS patient community in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area. This role primarily focuses on delivering respectful, empathetic, and expert pharmaceutical care within a sensitive patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications with a focus on specialty HIV/AIDS therapies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to treatment protocols.
  • Build trusting, non-judgmental relationships with patients sensitive to infectious disease challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and the pharmacy team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Exhibit pharmacy intuition by proactively identifying and addressing operational needs.
  • Maintain punctuality and commitment to scheduled shifts.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • No weekend shifts
  • Initial coverage dates available mid-March with ongoing per diem needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist in Florida with current credentials.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of retail or specialty pharmacy experience, specifically with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and empathy toward HIV/AIDS patient care.
  • Proficient with QS1 software or similar pharmacy management systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Location:

  • Fort Lauderdale, FL area, including opportunities within local community networks and pharmacies.
