Pharmacist - Fort Lauderdale, Florida

A PRN Pharmacist opportunity is available at a respected Indian Health Clinic in Fort Lauderdale, FL, offering a rewarding role supporting comprehensive pharmacy operations. This contract position involves direct collaboration with the Chief Health Officer, with a dress code of scrubs or business casual attire (excluding all black).

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and verifying prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriate dosing
• Preparing and dispensing medications in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
• Verifying the correct filling of MedBoxes
• Providing patient counseling on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans
• Conducting medication reconciliation for accurate and complete medication histories
• Managing medication therapy for patients with chronic conditions
• Monitoring for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
