A PRN Pharmacist opportunity is available at an Indian Health Clinic in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This contract role reports directly to the Chief Health Officer and supports all facets of daily pharmacy operations within a clinical setting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and verifying prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and proper dosing
• Preparing and dispensing medications according to regulatory and quality standards
• Verifying the correct filling of MedBoxes
• Counseling patients on medication use, side effects, and possible interactions
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and optimize treatment plans
• Performing medication reconciliation to maintain complete histories
• Managing medication therapy for patients with chronic health conditions
• Monitoring for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
• Overseeing pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and workflow completion
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with current state licensure
• Experience working in a clinical pharmacy setting, ideally within an Indian Health Clinic or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of medication therapy management and regulatory requirements
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to oversee and mentor pharmacy technicians
