A retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join their team on a contract basis in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role offers the opportunity to work Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm, providing quality pharmaceutical care and counseling to patients in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions
- Manage inventory to ensure medication availability and compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service to build trust and patient satisfaction
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid pharmacist license
- Proven retail pharmacy experience is a must
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices, drug interactions, and counseling techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
