A pharmacy opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support healthcare operations in Southeast Iowa. This 13-week contract assignment offers a chance to work in a 200-bed hospital setting utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems.
Location:
- West Burlington, IA
Schedule:
- Primarily 2nd shifts, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
- 8-hour shifts
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance and workflow efficiency
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and nurses on therapeutic recommendations
- Utilize pharmacokinetics knowledge to optimize patient medication plans
Qualifications:
- Valid pharmacist license; temporary licenses are acceptable for this assignment
- Experience with hospital pharmacy operations preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Strong communication and consultation skills to effectively work with healthcare teams
