A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Fort Mohave, AZ, offering a dynamic role within a hospital setting on a contract basis. This position requires an experienced pharmacist to provide critical clinical services and support to the healthcare team, ensuring optimal patient care and medication management.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7 days on, 7 days off
• Shifts are 10 to 12 hours
• Weekdays: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Weekends: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication orders
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with protocols and efficiency
• Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy, dosing, and pharmacokinetics
• Utilize MedHost EMR system for documentation and communication
• Manage pharmacokinetics monitoring and adjustments as required
• Maintain adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Arizona pharmacist license
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
• Proven experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
• IV certification and demonstrated proficiency with intravenous medication preparation and administration
• Strong knowledge of medication order processing, safety protocols, and clinical pharmacy services
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
