A healthcare facility in Naples, FL seeks an experienced Overnight Pharmacy Technician to provide essential support during night shifts. This travel assignment offers a unique opportunity to work in a specialized clinical environment, supporting critical care, pediatrics, and NICU units.
Shift Details:
- Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off
- Hours: 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Total Hours: Approximately 70-73 hours per two-week period
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technician support for pharmacy operations during overnight hours
- Handle phone communications efficiently and professionally
- Prepare and fill first doses for patients
- Fill 24-hour medication carts (minimal requirement)
- Perform duties in the IV room including preparation and compounding
- Collaborate closely with a pharmacist during the overnight shift
- Utilize EPIC for order entry management
- Operate Omnicell automation (training available if needed)
Required Qualifications:
- Current Registered Pharmacy Technician license in Florida
- Experience working in IV room settings
- Knowledge of pediatrics and inpatient pharmacy operations
- Proficiency with EPIC order entry system
- Ability to work independently overnight alongside one pharmacist
- Comfortable adhering to the dress code of teal scrubs
Preferred Experience:
- Prior work in critical care, NICU, or pediatric pharmacy units
- Familiarity with Omnicell automation systems
This travel role is available immediately with a 13-week initial duration and potential for extension until permanent coverage is secured.
