A closed-door HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy in Fort Myers, FL, is seeking a pharmacist for a contract-to-hire position. This mail-order site employs over 45 staff members dedicated to delivering medications with care and precision. The role focuses primarily on prescription verification and effective communication with both healthcare providers and patients.
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday | 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify prescriptions to ensure safe and effective medication dispensing.
- Communicate promptly and clearly with patients to provide medication guidance and support.
- Maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
- Demonstrate commitment by arriving on time and maintaining a positive attitude.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Florida pharmacist license required.
- Minimum one year of retail pharmacy experience.
- Experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing is mandatory and must be indicated on the resume, even if minimal.
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is preferred; please highlight any experience.
- Strong communication skills with both patients and providers.
- Dependability and professionalism in daily attendance and interactions.
