A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Fort Wainwright, Alaska, offering a dynamic work environment in a hospital setting. This contract role involves working 8-hour shifts with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM, including weekends. Shifts are scheduled to avoid consecutive early and late starts, providing a balanced work schedule. Holiday shifts may be required and generally last 4-5 hours.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and process standard hospital pharmacy orders
• Dispense medications in accordance with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Flexibly cover holiday shifts as needed

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting
• Proficiency with standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification processes
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records is preferred
• Must hold an active Alaska pharmacist license or be willing to obtain a temporary license
• If not licensed in Alaska at the time of submission, candidate must apply within 24 hours of an offer

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts with start times at 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 11:00 AM
• Variable days including weekends
