Flexible Travel Pharmacist Role – Fort Wainwright, AK

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical services in a hospital setting at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. This contract position offers engaging work with flexible scheduling and the chance to experience Alaska’s unique environment.

Schedule & Hours:

• 8-hour shifts with start times at 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, or 11:00 AM
• Variable days including weekends with consideration to avoid consecutive early and late starts
• Holiday shifts as needed, typically shorter (4-5 hours)

Core Responsibilities:

• Review and verify hospital pharmacy orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Dispense medications in compliance with established protocols and regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care
• Maintain documentation and support inventory control
• Adapt to dynamic hospital pharmacy workflows and patient needs

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital environment
• Proficient with standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification processes
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records preferred
• Active Alaska Pharmacist license or temporary license accepted (candidates without a current AK license must apply within 24 hours of acceptance)
