A pharmacist position is available in a hospital setting located in Fort Wainwright, AK, offering the opportunity to work on a contract basis starting mid-September. This role involves providing pharmacy services in a dynamic healthcare environment, focusing on hospital pharmacy orders and product verification.

Schedule/Hours:

• 8-hour shifts with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM
• Shifts may include weekdays and weekends
• An 11:00 AM shift is generally not followed by a 7:00 AM shift the next day
• Holiday shifts required as needed, typically 4 to 5 hours in length

Responsibilities:

• Manage and verify hospital pharmacy orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Ensure proper dispensing of medications in compliance with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilize electronic health systems, with Cerner experience preferred, to support pharmacy operations

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting
• Familiarity with standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification processes
• Active Alaska Pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a temporary AK license
• Candidates without an active AK license must apply within 24 hours of job acceptance
