Pharmacist in Fort Wainwright, AK

This opportunity is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to support hospital pharmacy operations in Fort Wainwright, AK. The role focuses on managing standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification, ensuring safe and efficient medication distribution within the hospital setting. Candidates with at least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience and familiarity with Cerner systems are highly preferred.

Location: Fort Wainwright, AK (near Fairbanks)

Schedule & Hours:

• 8-hour shifts with variable start times (7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 11:00 AM)
• Variable days of the week including weekends
• Typically, the 11 AM shift is not followed by a 7 AM shift
• Holiday shifts as needed, usually shorter (4–5 hours)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience with standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification
• Preferred: Experience with Cerner pharmacy systems
• Must hold an active Alaska Pharmacist license or be eligible to obtain a temporary AK license
• If the Alaska license is not active at the time of submission, candidates must apply within 24 hours of offer acceptance

Travel & Housing:

• Contract position starting mid-September
• Free one-bedroom housing provided (pet units are not available)
