Pharmacist - Franklin, Tennessee

A position is available for a Pharmacist to support a busy mail-order renal specialty pharmacy. This role offers an engaging opportunity to work with approximately 1,000 prescriptions processed daily in a specialized healthcare environment. The position is contract-based for 13 weeks, with potential to convert to permanent status.

Schedule and Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift
• 40 hours per week
• Immediate start

Location:

• Franklin, TN (with pharmacy operations in Lavergne, TN)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) tasks
• Perform final verification of prescription orders, ensuring accuracy of medication type and dosage
• Verify directions and prescription information against hard copy orders
• Utilize Wellsky pharmacy order entry system; note that the facility operates without automation
• Maintain high standards for safety and compliance within a fast-paced mail-order renal specialty pharmacy

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing
• Experience with prescription verification processes, especially PV1 and PV2 functions
• Familiarity with pharmacy order entry systems, preferably Wellsky
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-volume setting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety

• No on-call responsibilities
• Role is based on a contract basis with potential for contract-to-hire
