Pharmacist | Franklin, Tennessee

A specialized opportunity is available for a pharmacist to join a renal specialty mail order pharmacy, handling approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. This role offers a focused environment with no on-call duties and utilizes the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system without automation.

Location:

• Franklin, TN area (with pharmacy operations based in nearby Lavergne, TN)

Schedule & Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift
• 40 hours per week

Contract Details:

• 13+ week assignment
• Potential for contract-to-hire

Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Conduct final verification steps, ensuring accuracy of medication bottles/boxes
• Confirm directions and prescription information against hard copy documentation
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and patient safety within a busy mail order specialty environment

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in medication verification and dispensing
• Comfortable working in a mail order or specialty pharmacy setting, preferably renal specialty pharmacy
• Proficiency with pharmacy order entry systems, ideally Wellsky or similar platforms
• Detail-oriented and committed to ensuring patient safety through thorough prescription verification
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced operation
