Pharmacist in Franklin, TN

A dedicated pharmacist opportunity is available at a busy renal specialty and mail order pharmacy serving a high volume of patients. This contract position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule, focusing on ensuring patient safety through meticulous medication verification.

Location:

• Franklin, TN area (with primary site in Lavergne, TN)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 1:30 PM to 8:30 PM shift
• 40 hours per week
• Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties
• Conduct final verification of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy of medication, labels, and directions
• Verify prescription information against hard copies to maintain compliance and patient safety
• Work within the Wellsky order entry system, supporting a high volume of approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain smooth workflow in a mail order and renal specialty setting
• No on-call hours required

Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in good standing
• Experience with verification procedures in a pharmacy setting
• Familiarity with mail order or specialty pharmacy environments is a plus
• Comfortable working without automation and with manual verification processes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
