Pharmacist | Franklin, Tennessee

An exciting opportunity is available for a Pharmacist with experience in pharmacy verification processes to support a mail order, renal specialty pharmacy. Working within a high-volume environment that fills approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, this role offers a focused shift schedule and a chance to engage with specialized pharmacy services.

Location: Franklin, TN
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Type: 13-week contract (with potential to convert to contract-to-hire)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Perform final verification processes including Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Confirm accuracy of medication labels and ensure the correct medication is dispensed in bottles or boxes
• Verify prescription information and directions against hard copy prescriptions to ensure patient safety and adherence to protocols
• Collaborate efficiently within the pharmacy team to maintain high volume prescription accuracy
• Utilize the Wellsky order entry system for prescription processing; note that this pharmacy operates without automation
• No on-call responsibilities are required

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with necessary state board requirements
• Experience performing final verification and quality assurance in a pharmacy setting
• Familiarity with mail order pharmacy operations, especially renal specialty, is a plus
• Proficient with pharmacy order entry systems, preferably Wellsky or similar platforms
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
