An advanced pediatric pharmacy role is available, focusing on hematology/oncology with specialization in CAR-T and Bone Marrow Transplant therapies. This position is dedicated to delivering safe and effective pharmaceutical care from neonates through young adulthood. The role acts as a pharmacology consultant, patient advocate, and fiscal steward within a pediatric inpatient setting.
Responsibilities include reviewing physician orders, overseeing drug therapy administration and outcomes, and providing clinical pharmaceutical services. The pharmacist will also contribute to staff development and training of pharmacy students and residents, supporting accreditation standards related to hematopoietic cell transplants.
Work Schedule & Environment:
- Primarily 10-hour day shifts with some weekend coverage
- Occasional evening and overnight shifts as needed
- Pharmacy operates 24/7 to ensure continuous medication management
- Utilization of EPIC electronic medical records system
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree required
- California Registered Pharmacist (RPH) license mandatory
- PALS and BLS certifications required within specified timeframes; ACLS encouraged
- PGY2 residency in Oncology and Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) credentials preferred
- Minimum two years of pediatric oncology pharmacy experience preferred
