An award-winning pediatric hospital near Fresno is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Pharmacist with expertise in CAR-T and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) to join their advanced inpatient pharmacy team. This direct hire opportunity focuses on providing specialized pharmaceutical care to neonates through young adults, primarily supporting hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) patients in a state-of-the-art pediatric setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, effective drug therapy management from order review through administration and monitoring outcomes
  • Serve as a pharmacology consultant, patient advocate, and fiscal steward within the multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Support FACT accreditation by meeting core competencies and continuing education requirements
  • Participate in staff development, including training pharmacy students and residents (PGY-1 and PGY-2)
  • Operate within a 24/7 inpatient pharmacy environment, working primarily 10-hour mixed shifts (predominantly days, with some weekends and limited evenings/overnights)
  • Utilize EPIC EMR system for clinical documentation and medication management

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree required; completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program preferred
  • PGY-2 residency in oncology and at least 2 years of pediatric oncology pharmacy experience highly desired
  • California Registered Pharmacist license (RPH-CA-SBP) required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required within specified timeframes; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) encouraged for select shifts
  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) and other specialty certifications preferred
