A full-time Pharmacist position is available in Grand Junction, CO, supporting oncology services within a community hospital setting. This role offers a direct hire opportunity to engage in both clinical and operational pharmacy functions, focusing on medication management, patient counseling, and adherence to regulatory compliance in Grand Valley Oncology.

Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and interactions
- Prepare, compound, and dispense medications including oral, IV, topical, and enteral forms
- Monitor patient therapy for safety and efficacy; collaborate with healthcare providers for treatment adjustments
- Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence to therapy
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and staff
- Ensure documentation integrity and maintain regulatory compliance, including USP standards
- Manage medication inventory; monitor for shortages and recalls
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical programs
- Act as Pharmacy Director when necessary
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
- Minimum one year of related pharmacy experience or equivalent education and experience
- Current, unrestricted Colorado Pharmacist license mandatory
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) required
