A full-time Pharmacist position is available in Grand Junction, CO, supporting oncology services within a community hospital setting. This role offers a direct hire opportunity to engage in both clinical and operational pharmacy functions, focusing on medication management, patient counseling, and adherence to regulatory compliance in Grand Valley Oncology.

Location:

• Grand Valley Oncology, Grand Junction, Colorado (on-site)

Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and interactions
• Prepare, compound, and dispense medications including oral, IV, topical, and enteral forms
• Monitor patient therapy for safety and efficacy; collaborate with healthcare providers for treatment adjustments
• Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence to therapy
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and staff
• Ensure documentation integrity and maintain regulatory compliance, including USP standards
• Manage medication inventory; monitor for shortages and recalls
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical programs
• Act as Pharmacy Director when necessary

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
• Minimum one year of related pharmacy experience or equivalent education and experience
• Current, unrestricted Colorado Pharmacist license mandatory
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) required
