A full-time Pharmacist position is available in Grand Junction, CO, supporting oncology services at a community hospital’s oncology center. This direct hire role offers an opportunity to provide essential clinical and operational pharmacy support in a specialized oncology setting, ensuring high-quality medication management and patient care aligned with hospital and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify provider medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
- Prepare, compound, and dispense medications (oral, IV, topical, enteral) following established protocols and regulations
- Monitor patient therapy for safety and effectiveness; collaborate with healthcare providers to adjust treatments as necessary
- Offer drug information and education to medical staff and patients
- Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence strategies
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage medication inventory and monitor for drug shortages or recalls
- Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and clinical programs
- Serve as acting Pharmacy Director when needed
- Verify product integrity and maintain adherence to United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
- Minimum of 1 year related pharmacy experience or equivalent
- Current, unrestricted Colorado Pharmacist license
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications
