Pharmacist | Gibsonia, Pennsylvania

A long-term care pharmacist opportunity is available supporting skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice settings. This contract position requires a licensed pharmacist with strong attention to detail and communication skills to ensure exceptional medication management and patient care.

Assignment Details:

• Duration: 1 month ongoing with possible extension
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Pharmacy Hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM – 6 PM, Saturday 8 AM – 4 PM, Sunday 8 AM – 3 PM
• Operating Systems: QS1, Docutrack, PCC

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for various long-term care settings
• Inspect blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications for accuracy and safety
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, addressing clinical questions
• Perform counts and documentation of controlled substances in the perpetual inventory system
• Check emergency medication boxes to ensure proper stocking and readiness

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania, in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience, with long-term care experience preferred
• Ability to sit, stand, and utilize fine motor skills efficiently; visual acuity is essential
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed
