Pharmacist - Gibsonia, Pennsylvania

A Licensed Pharmacist opportunity is available to support pharmacy operations with a focus on skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care settings. This contract role requires expertise in reviewing and verifying medication orders, ensuring accuracy in packaging, and providing clinical guidance to healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for various care facilities.
• Inspect blister-packed and sterile/non-sterile medications for accuracy and compliance.
• Respond professionally to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical answers as needed.
• Count and document controlled substances in the perpetual inventory system.
• Monitor and check emergency medication boxes.
• Utilize QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems for daily workflow.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania, in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience, with preference for long-term care (LTC) experience.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and visual acuity.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely.

Location: Gibsonia, PA

Schedule:

• 40 hours weekly.
• Pharmacy operational hours:
  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Sunday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Assignment Details:

• Initial duration of 1 month with the possibility of extension.
• Consideration for an 8-week contract term is possible.
