Per Diem Pharmacist - Gibsonia, PA

A Per Diem pharmacist opportunity is available in Gibsonia, PA, offering approximately 24 hours per week with a Monday through Friday schedule between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. This assignment is initially for one month with the potential for extension.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing, personal care facilities, and hospice.
• Inspect blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals.
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical information as needed.
• Accurately count controlled substances and document them in the perpetual inventory.
• Monitor and check emergency medication boxes.
• Utilize operating systems, including QS1, Docutrack, and PCC, throughout daily tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Active and good standing pharmacist license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; long-term care (LTC) experience preferred.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and perform fine motor tasks with good visual acuity.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
