Per Diem Retail Pharmacist in Gilbert, AZ

Pharmacy professionals with retail experience are sought for per diem roles supporting multiple pharmacy locations across the greater Phoenix area. • Gilbert, AZ, and surrounding greater Phoenix, AZ area

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Saturday, typical pharmacy hours 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, some sites closing at 8:00 PM
• Shifts are on an as-needed basis to cover call outs, vacations, and volume spikes
• Ideal candidates are available part-time for 2-4 days per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently in a retail setting
• Provide immunizations and patient counseling consistent with scope of practice
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians, especially at smaller pharmacist-only sites
• Complete required training, including an 8-hour onboarding shift (non-billable)
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy software for dispensing, documentation, and inventory

Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Arizona pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1-2 years recent retail pharmacy experience; preference for candidates with at least 2 years
• Immunization certification and current BLS card
• Ability to participate in training sessions and adapt to variable schedule demands
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration mindset
