Pharmacist - Gilmer, Texas

A 13-week (with potential to extend) contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in a busy 300+ bed hospital and Level III trauma center. Located in Gilmer, TX, this role offers a dynamic clinical setting with a focus on inpatient pharmacy services.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week
• Flexible scheduling options including possible block schedules (e.g., 8 days on, 6 days off)

Key Responsibilities:

• Order verification ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and quality standards
• Collaborating with physicians and nurses to provide medication consultations
• Managing pharmacokinetics dosing
• Supporting emergency medicine and neonatal medication protocols

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Texas Pharmacist license
• A minimum of 1 year recent inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems highly preferred
• Experience with pharmacokinetic dosing and neonatal medication knowledge
• Familiarity with emergency medicine pharmacy practices
