This opportunity is designed for pharmacists with retail experience seeking flexible, per diem work in the greater Phoenix area. The role supports a well-established grocery store-based pharmacy network consisting of multiple locations serving the community with quality care.

Key Details:

  • Location: Glendale, AZ (within commutable distance of Phoenix)
  • Position Type: Per diem, with shifts typically Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Some stores may extend to 8 p.m.
  • Role Focus: Provide dependable coverage for call-outs, vacations, and volume fluctuations
  • Average prescription volume per day: 100-125

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently using QS1 pharmacy management software
  • Engage with patients to provide counseling and immunizations as needed
  • Collaborate with a strong team of pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Participate in a dedicated 8-hour training shift, with opportunities for additional training if desired
  • Maintain certification in immunizations and current BLS credentials

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience; 5+ years preferred for top compensation
  • Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in Arizona
  • Familiarity with QS1 software is a plus
  • Immunization privileges and BLS certification required
