A contract role is available for a Pharmacist to support an inpatient/behavioral health setting in Council Bluffs, IA. The assignment begins on May 18 and will continue until a permanent hire is placed. This opportunity involves weekend shifts, offering 6 hours per day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities include:

• Dispensing medications accurately within the inpatient/behavioral health environment
• Utilizing automated medication systems effectively, including repackaging methods such as Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL
• Loading drugs into automated dispensing machines and running restock reports for inventory management
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Current Iowa pharmacist license is required
• Experience with Omnicell automated medication systems preferred
• Familiarity with medication repackaging and automated inventory processes is highly desirable
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in handling medications
