Pharmacist - Glenwood, Iowa

A licensed Pharmacist is needed for an inpatient behavioral health setting, covering weekend shifts in Council Bluffs, IA. This contract assignment begins on 5/18 and will continue until a permanent pharmacist is hired. The role focuses on supporting medication management processes with operational expertise on automated dispensing systems.

Location:

• Council Bluffs, IA

Schedule/Hours:

• Saturdays and Sundays
• 6 hours per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately for inpatient behavioral health patients
• Utilize automated systems such as Omnicell for medication dispensing
• Repackage medications using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems
• Load drugs into automated machines and generate restock reports to maintain inventory efficiency
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care needs

Qualifications:

• Active Iowa pharmacist license required
• Experience with Omnicell preferred
• Familiarity with repackaging medications using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL highly desirable
• Basic understanding of loading automated dispensing machines and managing inventory reports
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
