Pharmacist in Glenwood, IA

A grocery store pharmacy is seeking a part-time retail pharmacist for an ongoing contract assignment in Omaha, Nebraska. This role requires a licensed pharmacist who can ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Schedule:

• Two-week rotating schedule with some flexibility to accommodate candidate availability and pharmacy needs
• Week 1: Sunday 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Tuesday 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM (24 hours total)
• Week 2: Tuesday 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (17 hours total)
• Schedule adjustments are possible upon discussion with the Pharmacy Manager

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and safety
• Provide patient counseling and answer medication-related questions
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and support pharmacy technicians
• Ensure adherence to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Deliver excellent customer service within the retail pharmacy setting

Qualifications:

• Active Nebraska Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent experience in retail pharmacy preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Flexibility to adjust schedule when necessary
• Experience with McKesson Enterprise is a plus but not required
