This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with specialized experience in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) seeking a rewarding position that offers flexibility and potential for direct hire. The role focuses on delivering expert pharmacy services within a specialty MTM environment, with options to work onsite or remotely in Gonzales, LA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications per physician orders following established protocols.
  • Interpret and transcribe both verbal and written prescriptions into computerized patient medication profiles.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate pharmacy patient medication records.
  • Monitor drug therapies for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and dosage appropriateness.
  • Identify and report adverse drug reactions promptly.
  • Provide clinical consultations and recommend cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to healthcare practitioners.
  • Document clinical interventions and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise pharmacy support personnel and verify daily pharmacy technician activities.
  • Conduct medication storage inspections, removing expired or unusable stock.
  • Maintain professional communication with patients and medical staff.

Qualifications:

  • Current Louisiana pharmacist license and a minimum of 5 additional licenses from the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming.
  • Prior experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings.
  • Commitment to obtaining licensure in at least 10 additional states (beyond Louisiana) within 18 months.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

  • Gonzales, LA (onsite or remote work available).
