A hospital-based pharmacist role is available to support inpatient services at a critical access facility in a rural location. This position offers the chance to contribute to comprehensive patient care across various hospital units including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency Department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient pharmacy services during weekday shifts and rotating weekends, ensuring accurate and timely medication dispensing.
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize pharmacological therapies and support clinical decision-making.
- Manage independent workload during weekend shifts, maintaining medication safety and compliance standards.
- Utilize Meditech for patient and medication management; experience with Omnicell systems is advantageous.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of pharmacy experience, with a minimum of hospital pharmacy practice.
- Prior experience in a Critical Access Hospital setting is preferred.
- Proven ability to work independently, especially during weekend coverage.
- Proficiency or familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records.
- Ability to adapt to a rural healthcare environment.
- Candidates must have a permanent residence at least 50 miles from the facility location.
Location:
- Rural hospital setting supporting inpatient units in northern New Hampshire.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00/7:30 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM
- Rotating weekends (every third weekend), Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
