Pharmacist - Gorham, New Hampshire

A hospital-based inpatient pharmacist opportunity is available in a rural New Hampshire location, offering a Monday through Friday schedule with some rotating weekends. This role supports multiple departments, including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency.

Location: Berlin, NH
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00/7:30 a.m. to 4:30/5:00 p.m.
• Rotating weekends every third weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  Position Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care for inpatient populations across ICU, L&D, Medical/Surgical, and ED units.
• Manage medication distribution and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Work independently, especially during weekend shifts, to support hospital pharmacy operations.
• Utilize electronic medical record systems; prior Meditech experience is preferred.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• 2 to 5 years of pharmacy practice experience required.
• Previous hospital experience is mandatory, with a strong preference for Critical Access Hospital background.
• Ability to function independently during weekend coverage.
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems is a plus.
• Must be willing to work in a rural location and able to accommodate the housing challenges that may arise.
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered.
