Pharmacist in Gorham, NH

A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced inpatient pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care within a hospital setting. This contract role offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule with rotating weekend shifts, supporting various departments including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency.

Location:

• Berlin, NH

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00/7:30 a.m. to 4:30/5:00 p.m.
• Rotating weekends, every 3rd weekend: Saturday/Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• 40 hours per week
• ASAP start preferred

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage and dispense medications for inpatients across multiple hospital departments.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication use and ensure patient safety.
• Monitor drug therapy and provide clinical interventions as needed.
• Utilize Meditech and Omnicell systems for medication management.
• Provide pharmacy coverage during weekend shifts with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Ability and willingness to work independently, particularly on weekends.
• Proficiency with Meditech preferred; familiarity with Omnicell is a plus.
• Experience supporting ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency departments highly desirable.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
