Pharmacist in Gorham, NH

This position offers an opportunity to serve as an inpatient pharmacist supporting a community hospital environment in Berlin, NH. The role emphasizes independent clinical judgment and collaborative care within critical areas including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Med/Surg, and Emergency Department units.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and dispense medications accurately for hospitalized patients.
• Provide pharmaceutical care in ICU, L&D, Med/Surg, and ED settings.
• Support weekends independently, ensuring continuity of pharmacy services.
• Utilize Meditech electronic health record system for medication verification and chart review.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Employ Omnicell systems for medication storage and distribution (experience preferred but not mandatory).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with a minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience.
• Proficiency in Meditech preferred.
• Ability to work independently, particularly during weekend shifts.
• Knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy practices.
• Familiarity with automated medication dispensing systems such as Omnicell is advantageous.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00/7:30 a.m. to 4:30/5:00 p.m.
• Rotating weekends required every third weekend: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
