A 2nd shift pharmacist position is open at a 200-bed hospital in Tucson, AZ. This contract opportunity offers a 13-week assignment with the potential for a Tuesday-Thursday schedule and a flexible start date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication use and safety
• Lead medication safety initiatives and monitor patient profiles to avoid adverse drug reactions
• Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and maintain strict narcotic accountability
• Report and manage any adverse drug reactions in a timely manner

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license and experience in hospital pharmacy practice
• Strong knowledge of medication safety and pharmaceutical best practices
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare professionals and patients
• Ability to handle narcotic tracking and preparation of sterile admixtures
