This opportunity is seeking experienced pharmacists to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting. The facility is a 200-bed hospital, offering a dynamic work environment where your expertise will impact patient outcomes directly. Exceptional candidates are welcome to apply for day, afternoon, or night shifts, with a particular need for those able to work 7-on/7-off night schedules.

Location:

• Green Valley, AZ (Nearby Tucson area)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with physicians to optimize drug therapy and dosing.
• Educate nursing staff, physicians, and patients about medication management.
• Lead medication safety initiatives to promote optimal patient care.
• Maintain and review patient profiles to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication plans.
• Monitor, report, and prevent adverse drug reactions to enhance patient safety.
• Prepare intravenous admixtures and nutritional supplements according to protocols.
• Ensure narcotic accountability and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist licensure appropriate for the state of practice.
• Prior experience in hospital pharmacy settings preferred.
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Knowledge of medication safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to perform intravenous admixture preparation accurately and safely.

Schedule:

• Day and afternoon shifts available.
• Night shift preferred candidates who can commit to 7 days on, 7 days off.
• Start date ASAP.
• 13-week contract with the possibility to transition to temp-to-hire.
