A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Operations Supervisor specializing in acute care hospital pharmacy. This contract position starts immediately with a 13-week minimum duration, offering a Monday through Friday day shift schedule with no weekend work. The role is located in Greenbrae, CA, and involves working with the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee pharmacy operations and workflow to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Manage staff scheduling and team coordination to meet department needs
  • Conduct policy reviews and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
  • Support USP guidelines adherence and provide expertise on related procedures
  • Train staff on intravenous (IV) competencies as needed
  • Lead meetings and facilitate communication within the pharmacy team
  • Utilize software tools including Excel, Word, and BD suite (Pyxis, PK, C2 Safe) for operational tasks

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of California
  • Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy; Pharm.D. degree and/or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program is preferred
  • Minimum of two years leadership experience in an acute care hospital pharmacy setting
  • Strong skills in scheduling, managing workflow, policy review, and detail-oriented tasks
  • Proficiency with relevant software and systems including EPIC EMR and BD suite equipment
