An acute care hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor to lead pharmacy services and ensure efficient workflow. This contract position, starting ASAP, offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule with no weekend work, ideal for professionals seeking a focused leadership role in pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and USP standards
  • Manage scheduling and workflow to optimize pharmacy performance
  • Conduct policy reviews and implement procedure updates as needed
  • Train staff on IV competencies and provide ongoing team support
  • Lead meetings and coordinate pharmacy activities across departments
  • Utilize software tools including Excel, Word, BD suite (Pyxis, PK, C2 Safe), and EPIC EMR to streamline processes

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of California, meeting all board requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy preferred; Pharm.D. degree and/or ASHP-accredited residency program completion highly desired
  • Minimum two years of leadership experience in an acute care hospital pharmacy setting
  • Strong skills in scheduling, managing workflow, and detail-oriented work
  • Willingness to train and support team members on technical competencies
