Located in Greenwood, IN, this opportunity is designed for a qualified pharmacist eager to deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care within a closed-door mail order environment. The role offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional Saturdays based on operational needs. This temp-to-hire position spans at least 13 weeks, providing a pathway to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications in accordance with prescription orders
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate therapy
- Monitor drug regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and medication adherence
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories and allergy information
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
- Manage medication storage, including monitoring for expired or damaged stock
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with inventory control, ordering, and pharmaceutical supply management
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Engage in ongoing professional development and pharmacy practice updates
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- PharmD degree
- Indiana Pharmacy License required
- California Pharmacy License preferred or willingness to reciprocate, with client support for costs
- 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience
- Strong communication skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Willingness to travel up to 5%
