This position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care within a closed-door mail order environment. You'll be working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays as needed. The role is temp-to-hire, with an initial 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense medications per prescription orders.
  • Provide medication counseling to patients on usage, side effects, and interactions.
  • Review and interpret physician orders to verify therapy appropriateness.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications and therapeutic duplications.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and medication adherence.
  • Maintain detailed patient records including medication histories and interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Manage proper storage and handling of medications, monitoring for expired or damaged stock.
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with inventory control including ordering and stocking supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Stay updated on pharmacy practice developments and engage in professional growth.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD degree required.
  • Indiana Pharmacy License required.
  • California Pharmacy License preferred or willingness to reciprocate (financial assistance provided).
  • 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5%.
