Pharmacist in Greenwood, IN

This opportunity is for an experienced pharmacist to support pharmaceutical care within a closed-door mail order pharmacy setting. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient safety, and regulatory compliance while providing expert medication counseling and collaborating with healthcare teams. This position works primarily second shift, allowing for a work schedule from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders.
• Provide detailed medication counseling regarding use, side effects, and interactions.
• Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate therapy.
• Monitor drug regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes.
• Maintain thorough and precise patient records.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Manage proper storage and handling of medications.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with inventory control, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with pharmacy practice.

Qualifications:

• PharmD degree required.
• Indiana Pharmacy License required.
• California Pharmacy License preferred, or willingness to obtain via reciprocity (support provided).
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.
