Pharmacist - Greenwood, IN

A part-time Staff Pharmacist position is available in a closed-door mail order pharmacy setting, offering a temp-to-hire opportunity of approximately 13 weeks with potential for direct hire. This role operates Monday through Friday on either 1st or 2nd shift (8:00 AM to 9:00 PM) with occasional Saturdays as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders while adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
• Provide comprehensive medication counseling, educating patients on usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
• Review and verify physician orders to ensure appropriate and effective therapy.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and therapeutic duplications.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and encourage medication adherence.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including medication histories and allergy documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Manage proper storage and handling of medications, tracking expiration dates and product integrity.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist with inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and managing pharmaceutical supplies.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Stay updated on pharmacy practice developments and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

• PharmD degree is required.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in retail pharmacy.
• Valid Indiana Pharmacy License required.
• California Pharmacy License preferred, or willingness to reciprocate with client-supported licensing costs.
• Ability to travel up to 5% as needed.
• Strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
