A part-time Staff Pharmacist opportunity is available in a closed-door mail order pharmacy environment, offering a temp-to-hire position with an initial commitment of 13+ weeks. This role operates Monday through Friday with shifts available from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM (1st or 2nd shift), including the possibility of working some Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities include accurately dispensing medications in accordance with prescription orders and providing comprehensive medication counseling to patients. The pharmacist will review and interpret physician orders, monitor drug therapies for contraindications and interactions, and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Maintaining precise patient records, complying with all pharmacy laws and regulations, and ensuring proper medication storage are essential. Additional duties involve participating in quality assurance and improvement programs, assisting with inventory management, and delivering excellent customer service. Ongoing professional development and staying current with pharmacy advances are also expected.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • PharmD degree required
  • Indiana pharmacy license mandatory
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience
  • California pharmacy license preferred, or willingness to reciprocate (financial assistance provided)
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 5%
