Retail Pharmacist - Halifax, Pennsylvania

A retail pharmacist position is available in Newport, PA, for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established grocery store chain. This full-time role offers variable day and afternoon shifts with bi-weekly hours totaling 74. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail pharmacy and be ready to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster collaboration with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and communicate pharmacy strategies.
• Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions by conducting Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Manage the pharmacy department to build a profitable business, increase prescription growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Control inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand.
• Align department performance with key operational metrics focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including healthcare counseling and resolution of customer issues.
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and discipline.
• Maintain security and regulatory compliance of the pharmacy department.
• Interact with physicians and use reference materials to resolve prescription issues.
• Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
• Prioritize daily pharmacy tasks such as inventory management, cycle counts, and will-calls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
