Pharmacist in Hanover, PA

A 13-week contract opportunity is available at a large 500-bed hospital in the Hanover/York, PA area for a skilled pharmacist with inpatient experience. This role offers a variable day and afternoon schedule to support the hospital’s pharmacy operations and patient care teams. The position requires an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily tasks
• Consult with physicians to optimize drug therapy and patient outcomes
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to individualize patient care
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems efficiently

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania
• Approximately 2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and medication management
• Effective communication and collaborative skills for working with healthcare teams
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis technology is a plus
