Pharmacist in Hanover, PA

A reputable 500-bed hospital in the York area is seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a contract role starting ASAP. This position offers an engaging environment with a mix of variable day and afternoon shifts over at least 13 weeks, providing the opportunity to utilize and expand your clinical pharmacy skills.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth operations
• Consult with physicians on medication management and patient care
• Apply pharmacokinetics knowledge to optimize patient therapy
• Utilize healthcare IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management and documentation

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
• Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy practices
• Proficiency in EPIC and Pyxis systems is preferred
