A pharmacist opportunity is available at a large 500-bed hospital located in the Hanover/York, PA area. This contract role offers an immediate start and extends for approximately 13 weeks or longer, providing a chance to contribute your expertise in an inpatient setting with variable days and afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
• Consulting with physicians regarding medication therapy and patient care
• Managing pharmacokinetics to optimize dosing and efficacy
• Working with oncology and chemotherapy medications, contributing specialized knowledge

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
• Several years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Experience with Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems
• Familiarity with oncology and chemotherapy medication protocols is essential
