Pharmacist in Harrisburg, PA

An opportunity for a Pharmacist is available at a large 500-bed hospital located in York, PA. This contract role offers an ASAP start with a 13+ week duration, serving a critical function within a busy inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct order verification ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of medication orders
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth workflow and compliance with protocols
• Consult with physicians providing expert recommendations on medication therapy, including pharmacokinetic monitoring
• Manage oncology and chemotherapy medication preparation and safety
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system and Pyxis automated dispensing technology effectively

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required
• Several years of inpatient pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system is essential
• Experience handling oncology and chemotherapy medications is highly advantageous
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
