A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist at a 160-bed community hospital in Lebanon, PA. This role offers a dynamic work environment where you will play a critical part in providing excellent patient care within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week
- Shift hours between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and nurses on medication therapies
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication outcomes
- Utilize hospital information systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for medication management
Desired Qualifications:
- Active PA pharmacist license
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience is essential
- Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems
- Familiarity with chemotherapy medication protocols is a plus
