Pharmacist in Hartford, CT

This opportunity is for a licensed pharmacist to support both retail and long-term care (LTC) pharmacy environments. The schedule offers approximately 24 to 30 hours per week with a mix of weekday and weekend shifts, providing a balanced work-life arrangement. This position has the potential to convert from temporary to direct hire.

Location: Hartford, CT
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Weekend rotation every 4th week

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in retail and LTC settings
• Counsel patients and caregivers on medication use and safety
• Manage pharmacy operations using Retail Liberty and LTC Frameworks computer systems
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut pharmacist license required
• Experience in retail pharmacy is essential
• Long-term care pharmacy experience is a strong plus
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends on a rotation basis
• Agreement to sign required documents prior to employment
