This opportunity invites a licensed Pharmacist to deliver essential pharmacy services in a critical access hospital setting located approximately 1.5 hours south of Louisville, KY. The facility includes a 25-bed hospital and an 18-bed skilled nursing facility, providing a dynamic environment that supports a broad spectrum of patient care needs. This per diem role offers a focused work period from October 12th through October 16th, with shifts running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately verify and process medication orders.
  • Provide consultation and collaborate effectively with physicians and nursing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and hospital protocols.
  • Utilize Cerner and MedDispense IT systems to manage medication distribution.
  • Support medication management in both acute care and skilled nursing facility settings.
  • Maintain clear and detailed documentation related to pharmacologic interventions.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Kentucky Pharmacist license is required.
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Proficient in using Cerner electronic health records and MedDispense systems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to interact with clinical staff.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate attention to detail.
