Per Diem Pharmacist | Hazleton, Pennsylvania

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Pharmacist to provide essential per diem coverage in Hazleton, PA, starting immediately. This role requires flexibility, with the goal of maintaining consistent support for the next 4-6 weeks, and possibly beyond. Ideal candidates are currently working part time elsewhere and are looking for additional hours to complement their schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle prescription intake and processing accurately
• Dispense medications following proper protocols
• Check and verify prescriptions and medication orders for safety and compliance
• Manage inventory control to ensure availability of medications
• Respond professionally to patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
• Collaborate with and utilize support from experienced pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth workflow

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience working in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Strong working knowledge of Pioneer Rx software
• Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Flexibility to work multiple days per week, as many as possible starting immediately
