This travel pharmacist role supports retail pharmacy operations by providing professional medication dispensing and pharmaceutical care aligned with hospital standards and state regulations. The position operates within a full-time day shift schedule and reports directly to the Retail Pharmacy Manager and Director of Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and counsel patients on proper drug use.
- Collaborate with physicians and medical staff on safe, effective drug therapy and dosage.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws.
- Manage medication inventory, including ordering and secure storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Conduct medication reviews to optimize patient therapeutic outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare reports and contribute to drug use policies and training programs.
- Provide consulting services to long-term care facilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Degree from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy school; PharmD preferred.
- Current valid state pharmacist license.
- Minimum of three years retail pharmacist experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to adhere to healthcare compliance and safety standards.
Working Conditions:
- Indoor, climate-controlled environment with occasional exposure to biohazards and hazardous drugs.
- Adherence to safety protocols including mandatory respiratory protection fittings.

Location & Housing: This position is based in Hebron, NE. Due to limited onsite accommodations, candidates should arrange local motel or hotel housing as needed. On-call rooms may be available upon request.
