Pharmacist - Henderson, TX

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a large hospital setting featuring over 300 beds and a Level III Trauma Center. Located in Longview, TX, this role offers a structured schedule and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Schedule:

• 4 days per week, 10-hour day shifts
• Option may be available for a blocked schedule (e.g., 8 days on, 6 days off)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to dosing decisions
• Support emergency medicine and neonatal medication management

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Texas Pharmacist license is required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience
• Strong familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system is highly preferred
• Experience with Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems
• Knowledge in pharmacokinetic dosing and neonatal medications
• Background in emergency medicine pharmacy is a plus
